Here is a few pages from the mini album Im working on for one set of inlaws for Christmas. I wanted it to be quick since I dont have a lot of time. So there is not a lot of journaling. Im hoping the pics speak for themselves. This top picture is the coaster that Im using for the base of the pages. I have used my corner chomper on the 1/4 side to round the paper to fit the page. I have also used it on most of the pics in the album. I have used paper by Making Memories, Recolections and even some from CTMH. The flowers are Prima. I will punch a hole in the top and add a ring to complete the mini when its done. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Update

Well once again my blog has been neglected. So much has gone on. It has been stressful and crazy all at the same time. Our house sold and so we moved, but after we moved the deal fell through. That is a whole another story though and I dont even want to get started on that. I have finally had time to craft again and have started on a christmas present. Also Im finally usuing my wonderful Comso Cricket paper from last year making a Christmas album. It is a wonderful desgin by Luara Deninson who is at following the papertrail on you tube. I hope to have some of the pictures of what I have started soon. Just need to get all the pictures off my camera.

Also Im starting my new job at Subway this coming week. Im really sad to be leaving Michaels and all my wonderful friends I made there. But Subway is close to my house and will save a ton of money on the gas bill every month. I hope that I like it and it will be a good place to work.

Anyhow the son is bugging me to get on the computer and "Harvest his Farm" LOL So I will go for now. Bye and thanks for stopping bye.!!!

Here is my dress form tag inspired by AlohanMabuhay at Youtube. She has a dress form tag swap on her blog at Pretty paper botique. I loved seeing all the great dress forms and how different each design was. I was inspired to make this tag. I started with a #8 TH size tag. I mixed gesso with white craft paint and added a touch of pink shimmer. I used that as glue to adhere my pieces of sewing patteren to the tag. On one side I dry brushed pink paint over a stencile to get the polka-dots I cut my dress form using SCAL and and svg file I found at A Southernbelle's Svg blog. Do go take a look as she has some great Svg files that are all free. Thank you Amyee. I painted the bottom part black and the top I used pink cs. I added the funky trim for her skirt and then used ric-rac over the top of that. I added diamond dust to the top. I used my new hero arts stamp for the confidence is sexy stamp. I also used my girls paperie stamp set to stamp the ruler down the side to.I added prima flowers and bling. The black ones where painted with my black paint dabber. I did the same polka dot technique one the back. Both sides were edged with black stazon ink. Happy Thursday and thanks for stoping by.!!!!!

End of year teacher gifts

Here is what Im making for my kids teachers for the end of the year, as a way to say thank you. I bought these clipboards at Sams club and thought they would be perfect for this. This one is for Hunters teacher and he helped me pick out the colors and where he wanted things. The top picture is the matching card to go with this. I have one other one made for one of Kodys teachers. 2 down and 2 to go. I will post pictures of the others when they are done. I tried to keep them simple since I dont know what each teacher likes. The pink paper fro this one is by Fancypants. The green paper I got in a bottle swap so I dont know who makes it. I cut the apple from the Doodlecharms cartridge. I inked all the edges with vintage photo distress ink by Tim Holtz. Happy Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

Mothes day gift for my MIL

Here is a wooden frame from Michaels that I covered in paper. This is for my Mil for mothers day. Thanks to youtube gal Amy at lovemyella for the inspiration to try this. The birdcage was cut with my SCAL again. I painted it blue and used Glossy Accents on the top to give a little shine. Cant over do the bling and all when its from my 4 boys for Grandma. I used Prima flowers and a pearl at the top of the birdcage. I added brown ribbon around the edges to finish it off and hide the seams from the paper. I added a butterfly in the top right hand corner. I inked the edges with vintage photo as well.. I hope she really likes it. This was fairly easy and I think I will do some more. Thanks again Amy for you video showing the ones you made and giving me the inspiration to try it.!!! Thanks for stopping by and as always leave a comment.

A card made with SCAL

I cut this adorable owl and branch with Sure Cuts A Lot. A program you use through your compture with your Cricut to cut out. The stripped background paper and pink paper used on the owl and branc are from Sei the Mimosa collection. This collection has awsome papers and would be perfect for your springs pages and projects. The flowers and pearls are by Prima. I also used my Swiss dots embossing folder to give the owl and branch some texture. I hope this card will cheer up the person who is going to be receiving it.! Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to leave me a comment.

Lolipop fabric flower

Here is my first attempt at a fabric lolipop flower. It turned out ok. Im working on another one with more layers so I hope that it will look better. I will post when Im finished with that one for ya to see. Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by.

Here is the 1st envelope of the envelope mini that Im working on. Thanks to my friend Tina from Your Paper Pantry for getting the coin envelopes. On both sides of the envie I used paper by Fancypants, a line called Papa from 2007. This paper is great for doing boy or men projects. I used my Heidi Swapp clock stamp set on the envie and on the tag. I spayed everything with my shimmerz spritz in truffle. The wording was done with a lable maker and I used my vintage photo distress ink and heat set to give that aged look. Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by. For those in my May tag swap check back or be on the lookout for an email a post on your blog from me soon.

Here are some tags Ive made

Here are a couple of tags that I had a chance to make today. The bottom one I made for Yoliebean as a thank you for hosting the bottle swap I particpated in. I hope she likes it. Yoliebean always has a quote to share in her vids. So when I so this stamp at Michaels I knew I needed to get it for a tag for her. I made the lolipop flower from dictionary paper. I inked it with Peeled paint distress ink. I added silver shimmer spritz and clear embossed the edges. I added the mesh behind the flower and the feather to. I also did some clear embossing with a Tim holtz script and flourish stamp. I used blue and green fibers at the top to finish off the tag.
The top tag uses the same script stamp as well as a bird/branch stamp the I heat embossed with black. I used fired brick distress ink over the script which is the resist emboss technique. I heat embossed the flowers as well as used diamond dust on them. The back has paper from DCWV and I added a baby coin envelope and put a small tag inside with a note.
Happy Sunday and thanks for stopping by to look around.

Hi ladies,

Here is the May tag swap info. Anyone can join even if you are not a member of Your Paper Pantry. I think I would like to have a theme of "May flowers" with a twist : Use Red somewhere on your tag. So that could be red ink, red flowers, red paper. I think you get the idea. Here we have the saying April showers bring May flowers. So flowers of any kind. I like to use the shipping tags you can get at Staples the #5 sized tag. If any of our international friends need to know the size of that tag I can get you that info. If we have a lot of ladies sign up I will break up into groups.

Scrapbook Expo Pics

Here are some pics from my first time at Scrapbook USA Expo. I got to my some friends that I have known on Cricut.com for over 2 years. It was so fun meeting you Tomianne and getting to be at the expo too. We had a table and as you can see some of the gals were scrapbooking there too. I wasnt able to do that this time but maybe next time. I really liked the expo but was disappointed in some ways. I felt like the focus was paper. They had a ton of paper there. They had stamps and some flowers and even beads for watch making. I didnt see a lot of distress inks, embossing powders or any glimmer mist. No crop-a-dial or big-bites. I wish they would have had more tools and more of the things that are "HOT' in paper crafting right now. One of the ladies from a booth told me that here in Utah those things dont do well. Hmmmm..... I wonder why. Yes Cricut was there with the Cricut cake. They had lots of demenstrations going on with that. I even think I got some pics of it that I will look for and post if I did. We got to see some sneak peaks at some up coming cartridges as well. So all in all it was a fun time and I would go back, but would like to more of the extras next time. You can check out my haul videos on You Tube at my channel Scrappingpinklady. Happy Thursday and Thanks for stopping by.

A tag I made for a friend

Here is a tag I made for a friend that I sent some diamond dust to. For those of you who dont know diamond dust is like a sugary topping that you can put on flowers to make them look like the new Prima ones released at winter CHA 2010. I got this adorable stamp at M's on clearance for about $3.50. I just love it and it reminded me of one that my friend Yoliebean has. Her youtube channel is yoliebean. I stamped the background with a polk-a-dot stamp in Dusty concord. I then stamped some images of the bird stamp in the background off the edges. I stamped the bird image in versa mark and and embossed it with black embossing powder. I then edged it with the same dusty concord. I pop dotted the main bird image and added a black feather behind it. My 1st time working with them and I'm hooked. I added fibers at the bottom and the top of the tag. Happy Thursday and thanks for looking.

Tag and Embellishments for a Swap

Here are some things I have made for a embellishment swap Im in. On the tag which is the ones that Tim Holtz uses I did the resist emboss technique. These tags can be purchased at www.liveteachcreate.com I used my Shimmerz spritz in Ruby in the background as well as my french script stamp. I hand made the flower and the stamped butterfly. The flowers above were made using the cordenations paper. Pink/black and blue/black combos. I sanded them so that the color would show through before forming the flower. I found a tutorial on You tube on how to make them I dont remember who did it but I will post when I find out who. I added Shimmerz and stickles to them as well for lots of bling. The two stamped butterflies above were done on photo paper and then I added some fibers for their bodies. I just love how they turned out. Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by.
