Merry Christmas

I hope everyone and their families had a very Merry Christmas.!!!! We did. My family and I hung out at home all day with Grandma.(my mom) We opened presents in the morning. We had awsome sandwhiches around 4 pm with chips and dips. It was so nice not cooking a great big meal espically with everyone just getting over the stomach flu. After dinner we went to the movies. It was a lot of fun and first for going on Christmas day. We say Old Dogs and it was Hillarious. Even my 4 boys ages 5-11 liked it as well. I would highly recommed this for anyone to see. We have just been haning out today as well. I had to work this morning from 7-11. It was too busy til right before I left. Im glad I got off early. Its been fun just hanging out watching the kids play their new Wii games too. I have been eating to many ginerbread cookies as they are so yummy. It Christmas so no calories right? So who is going to join me?

Im anixously awaiting for you all to to come and join me in my Mothly Kit club. I want to choose a name for this group so let me know what you all come up with. I was also thinking we could do this one of 2 ways. #1 We each make our own minis to swap from the supplies we have on hand or shop for, for our mini album. #2 We could have the lastes papers and embellishments and flowers and ribbon ect. in our kits but they would have a fee that you pay to my each month. I would then shop for the kits, assemble the kits and then mail to you to put together for your swap buddie.!!!! So let me know what way you would like to do it and we can get going next month in Jan.!!!!! So those of you looking for a new adventure come and joing me. Happy Sat and thanks for looking.!!!!!!!

Who would like to join me in a Mini Album Swap?

I would like to start a mini album swap group that would swap mini albums between the girls in the group. I have been watching youtube and have seen lots of neat minis that gals are making amongst their trade groups. It looks like so much fun and would be exciting to get them in the mail. So I am looking for a group of gals that would like to join me in doing this? I dont think I would actually start it untill after the first of the year. I know how busy every one gets during the holidays. I dont want anyone to feel they would have to go out and spend a huge amount of money to do this. We all have lots of stash and this would be a good way to use it up.!! Espicallly our scraps. :) If you need ideas or want to see some minis you can go to Youtube and type in mini album and you will get lots of choices. Again please dont think that yours would have to look like those as I know they use lots of extra supplies in them. This is just for ideas. If you would like to do this leave me a message under this post. I was thinking we could swap every other month if thats what you all would like to do. Im open for any and all input you have. So come and join me on a fun new adventure!!!!!! Happy Friday and have a great weeekend.!!!!!

Bread box all finished

I have to say thanks to Denise Hill of Paper pastime (her blog) for this cute design. She is the creator of this addorable bread box. I just love the way this turned out. My mini loaves of bread fit just right in them and they were perfect for what I was doing.!!!!I added fruit puch stickles to the pumpkins and they sparkles quit a bit IRL I inked the edges brown and tied a small brown ribbon bow in front. I made 4 of these and the top picture shows some of the cards I made to go with them.!! Happy Sunday and thanks for looking. Thanks again Denise for your great design.!

A Notebook and card

Here is the notebook and card I made for my neighbor as a thank you. She brought us over a bunch of food and goodies and a Christams tree. That in its self was an answer to a prayer as I didnt even know if we would have been able to get to one this year. The flowers and ribbon are from http://yourmemorieshere.com/ The little flowers are from the bitty collection and the bigger flowers are Hydrangea. The pearl bling in the center of the flowers is Prima bling. The olive polk-a-dot ribbon is from Pebbles inc. The purple paper was bought at M's. The note pad inside was bought at Wally World for $1 in their school/stationary dept. It had a magnet on the back that I took off before I glued it down to the back cover. I did learn this, that once the note pad is glued down to the cover its to thick for the crop-a-dile. So my lesson learned is to punch all holes before you attach anything permanently. The card has the same ribbon and paper as the note pad. The flower on the card is from my stash and is a prima flower with a purple button in the middle. Button also from my stash. I did ink everything with the Tim Holts distressing in in Walnut brown. Happy Sunday and thanks for looking.

Mini gum box purse album

First off this idea is not my own. I saw a video on Youtube and cant remember who is was by. So I need to give the credit to them. When I saw this idea I fell in love with it. In the top picture you can see the gum box with all the gum out before I started. I did learn some things doing this that I think would make it better next time I do one. I covered the box in sections with paper and that let some of the pink box show through. I think I would cover the whole outside with one piece of paper next time. Second I used my cropidile to punch the whole for the purse handles. I should have used the small hole punch instead of the large hole. Third I found I needed to be carefull because the gum box was a not real sturdy. Its not flimsy but you do need to be careful with it. I made the tags on My Cricut Expressions from the Plantin cart. I used the scalloped tag cut 3 1/ 4 inches. They fit in the openings just right. I cut one out of pp and one out of white cs and glued together. The white side for journaling and they other side for a picture. I inked both sides of the tag in brown distressing ink. I didnt add much for embellishements other them some stickers as it would make it hard for them to fit in the pockets. I added lace to the front and rick rac to the back. I do need to get some velcor to hold the front down. Please let me know what you think or if you have ideas on how to improve on this for next time. Happy Thursday and thanks for looking.

This layout turned out really different than I had pictured when I started. I had originaly planned to use a barn and a fence on this layout with the tree but that just did not seem right. I also had planned for more pics on the page then just 2 but again thats now how it turned out. I will put pictures of my boys playing in the leaves on this layout.
Supplies used
My Cricut Expressions
ZooBalloo Cart
SYI cart
Brown distressing ink
stamps
Chipboard letters
fruit punch stickles
Fabric
felt 3-d leaf
buttons and raffia
The Cricut Expressions and matts that I used for this layout can be purchased here at Your Memories Here http://www.yourmemorieshere.com/ . She has a great site with lots of great products.
Happy Thursday and I hope you like this layout.

Here is my challenge for this week at Practical Scrappers

The challenge this week over at Practical Scrappers http://www.practicalscrappers.com/ is to use office supplies on your card or layout. There is a great video on how to make the flower paper clips as well. This page is a page from a mini book Im making for my mom. I used the flower paper clip that I made and I also used staples in my ribbon across the bottom of the page. The pictures on the pages of the book are of my Grandma who has passed away. I left the page in the middle so that my mom could add her own journaling of these pictures. Also there are 3 small tags that are in the front pocket for more notes and dates about these pics. Happy Tues and thanks for looking.

Pages from a Mini Album for my mom

Here are couple of pages from the mini album Im making my mom for Christams. Shhh... dont tell her. Hopefully she wont be peeking here and see them. The pages are 6x6. The pink flower paper is from a DCWV stack I got several years ago and it reminded of wallpaper that would maybe be in my Grandmas house long ago. On the left is my mom and her childhood friend Margie. I used som vellum for the first time behind the photo and on the tag for this picture. The tags for both pages were cut with the DC cart. The tag was a charm feature. The right had page has the same flower paper along with Prima bittys from http://yourmemorieshere.com. I used Tim Holts distressing ink in Walnut brown as well. The best of friends is a rub on. Hope my mom and you like it. Happy Tuesday and thanks for looking.

Boo Blocks

I made these BOO Blocks to decortate the top of my mantel for Fall/Halloween. I used wood blocks my dh cut for me. The font is Mickey Font. I cut the letters out on my E and traced them onto the blocks. I then painted the letters black and the sides a pumpkin orange. I added black and white polka-dot ribbon and toole to finish off the blocks. For the mantel I add the cotton spider web stuff with some spiders and skulls. Also added a bunch of fall leaves and a few fall flowers. Im going to add a black tree and some pumpkins that I cut out to the big white space above to help fill in and complete the whole look. Thanks for looking and Happy Thrusday.

Petrifeid Forest

Here is a layout I did of my 2 older boys at the Petrified Forest this summer. I used more paper from the Animal Cracker stack. That would be the side border. I used my Mickey and Friends cart for the sign wich I cut out with a shadow and embossed with my Tiny Bubbles folder. I used Base Camp for the title which I cut out in Design Studio. I welded the shadow and then cut it out in the brown. The green is the top layer. It is all inked with copper ink from CTMH. The circle is cut from the PS cart with a $1 stamp on it that says explore with some journaling. The Expressions and Cartidges and embossing folders I used can be purchased here at http://yourmemorieshere.com. Have a happy and haunted Monday. Thanks for looking.
