More mini album pictures

Here are some more pictures from my mini. I made lots of tags that I slipped in the paper bags that I used to make this mini. This first blue tag was from a resturant that we went to a while ago. This was one of their coasters and I know sometime I would use it for something. Anyhow I found this blue and black flower paper in the $1 spot at michaels. They journaling tags to that I didnt get and when I went back I didnt see them. That was a bummer, but I made do without them. I added some of my own paper as well. The black and white papers came from a Target pack of paper from last year. Some of the others I just had in my stash. I didnt go overboard on embelllishments as I didnt know what pics she'll be putting. I hope she likes it and that you do to. Happy Wednesday. Thanks again to all the great gals whos videos I watched for inspiration on the project. :)

A Mini album for my friend

Well here are a few pictures of my mini album I made for my friend who just moved into a new house. I need to start off by thanking a few people. Laura at Following the paper trail on You Tube for the canvas cover idea.! I wasnt sure how this cover was going to turn out but I really like the way it did. The canvas turned out purfect. She is also where I got the idea for the book accoradion binding. I would also like to thank Arlene at mybutterflykisses12 on you tube for the idea to use sizzix packaging for clear sheets to stamp on. This clear sheet on the front of this mini album came from my 5 year old sons new underwear package. Once I cut it down it worked perfect.! I cant thank you gals enough for sharing all your creative talent for others to learn from. I love watching them and they are a great inspiration.! I really wantied to post more pictures but my internet was so slow. Hopefully I can post some more tomorrow for you to see. Im so excited to share them with you. I will say I learned alot making this mini album. It wasnt easy but Im glad I stuck with it and hope to improve on the next one I do.

Coaster Calander

Here is my Coaster calander that I made. I got this idea from Live Love Scrap on Youtube. She made an amazing coaster calender. So thanks to her for sharing her wonderful talent with everyone. This my take on her idea. I used the round coasters you can get a Michaels in the $1 section. I painted one side in a lt. ivory and added a 3 1/2 in piece of paper that I tore the edges on. On the othe side I covered the whole circle in paper. They are 4 inches and my Cricut Expressions worked perfectly in cutting out the circles to use. I inked all the edges in Chesnut Roan catseye ink. I was going for a vintage them so I hope that, that come across. All of the papers I used were in my stash. I didnt use a lot of ribbon at the top as I wanted it to be easy to turn each month. I made this for my hair gal whos birthday is this month. Happy Monday and I hope you like it.
